CitNOW has achieved ISO 27001 certification for its information security management system (ISMS), showing a commitment to secure data.
To achieve the standard, CitNOW had to undergo rigorous independent reviews and audits of its ISMS, while providing thorough risk assessments.
CitNOW’s chief technical officer, Colin Tinto (pictured), said: “The ISO 27001 is the highest international standard of certification when it comes to data security, and to achieve it is no small feat; demonstrating complete awareness of data security across all aspects of the business.”
The certification also means that business and customers using CitNOW apps have a proven and independently-verified system supporting them, keeping their data secure and private to the highest global standards.
Tinto said: “The digital revolution has been a wonderful success story for the automotive industry, but this shouldn’t come at a cost to data security.
"The accredited certification means that retailers and customers alike can make the most out of the CitNOW suite of apps, knowing that their personal data is safe, secure and private.”
