US ecommerce platform Roadster launches in the UK at this year’s Automotive Management Live where its suite of digital tools will be on display in the expo’s Future Dealership Zone.
Digitising the car buying process means arming sales teams with effective tools as well as providing customers with the means to move effortlessly between in-store and online.
Providing live demos using a plasma screen and iPads, visitors to Roadster’s stand will be able to experience the digital functionality provided by its tools from a customer’s viewpoint when accessing information online and understand how other tools ensure a smooth sales process whilst delivering an enhanced customer experience in the showroom.
Automotive Management Live 2019 takes place on November 7 at Birmingham’s NEC and brings together exhibitors, expert speakers and masterclass sessions at one expo in one day.
The Future Dealership Zone sees a handpicked selection of exhibitors dedicated to best preparing the automotive retail sector for the changes ahead including increased digitisation, electrification and evolving customer behaviour.
Roadster’s UK’s lead Rob Abrahams said: “Customers are increasingly confident in undertaking parts of the car buying process online including paying the deposit and arranging finance. Our data from the US tells us customers are happiest moving seamlessly between online and in-store making it essential that dealers deliver a genuine omni-channel experience.
“With consumers judging the sector against other retail experiences where the digital and physical realms fuse readily and without any friction or hiccups, they have the same expectation when it comes to purchasing their next car.
"If dealers are unable to provide an all-rounded experience, consumers will simply move onto the next business which does blend high class digital involvement with physical interaction from employees in the showroom.”
Roadster’s technology is designed to enable customers and dealers to weave the online and digital spheres together any which way a customer chooses.
The proposition includes showroom tools for sales executives who can offer different payment options whilst face-to-face with the customer and undertake valuations using mobile technology.
Online, consumers can experience a fully interactive marketplace when using the dealer’s website and build their own deals.
Automotive Management Live 2019 will help those in the sector keen to futureproof their businesses, glean valuable insight from experts and obtain tangible advice on the direction of automotive retail.
