Manheim has processed the 7,000th vehicle through its dedicated preparation centre in Leeds, which only opened at the start of 2016.
The centre supports Manheim’s Vehicle solutions operation, helping to meet de-fleet requirements, multi-channel sales management and pre- and post-sale refurbishment, along with reconditioning and repair services.
Along with a similar facility in the Midlands and a new site in South West England, Manheim hopes to be able to process a further 35,000 vehicles a year outside of its auction processes.
Tim Hudson, managing director for Manheim Remarketing, said: “Vehicle Solutions allows us to offer our customers a network of dedicated preparation centres, independent from our auction network.”
As well as a ‘Swift’ arrivals process, which aims to see cars washed, prepared and – if necessary – repaired within hours, the Vehicle Solutions site in Leeds, also boats a six-bay paint booth and imaging booths with automated 360-degree turntables.
