Ashley Chesters is to take on the role of a Swansway SEAT service manager after five and a half years at Crewe Volkswagen.
Ashley first worked as a service advisor before progressing onto the workshop controller role at Crewe Volkswagen where he achieved Volkswagen workshop controller accreditation, in addition to organising the large workshop team throughout their day-to-day operations.
On receiving the promotion, Ashley said: “Since I received my workshop controller accreditation back in July, the next goal for me was to reach a service manager position, I’m really excited to put my own stamp on the role and tackle this new challenge!”
Since beginning at Crewe SEAT, Ashley has been very impressed and excited by the potential among the Service team, crediting them with the way they have embraced changes he has introduced.
Looking ahead, Ashley said he hopes to create an enjoyable, efficient work environment, noting that it is very difficult to achieve success without a team that is united and driven.
Swansway Motor Group aftersales director Matt Springhall, commenting on Ashley’s appointment, said: “Ash has been a credit to both himself and Swansway throughout his time here so far. The skillset he demonstrated during his time at Crewe Volkswagen made him an obvious candidate for the service manager role when it became available. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Ash brings to the role with his refreshing approach to management and desire to improve efficiency.”
