Bumper has joined Driving Pride, a professional network of people associated with the automotive industry who identify as lesbian, gay, bi, trans, or identify with other sexual or gender identities (collectively LGBTQ+) and those straight allies who support them. 

Founded in 2021, Driving Pride is now backed by key industry players such as Arnold Clark, BMW, Inchcape UK, Jaguar Land Rover, Keyloop, Bentley, Carwow, and Heycar.   

Driving Pride aims to provide a safe space for all LGBTQ+ people within the automotive sector where they can network, share ideas, resources and experiences.

Many LGBTQ+ people face prejudice in their personal lives too.  

Although great progress has been made for LGBTQ+ inclusion in recent years there is still a great deal to do.

Reports show that many LGBTQ+ people continue to face difficulties in their careers and personal lives.

Nearly two thirds (64%) of LGBTQ+ people have experienced violence or abuse due to their sexuality or gender identity.   

As existing members of the UK Automotive 30% Club, Driving Pride offers another important opportunity for Bumper to continue its commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace. 

Bumper’s positive corporate social responsibilities are also represented through being a Living Wage employer and supporting Ecologi climate projects to be a carbon neutral business.
