SsangYong Motors UK has appointed Jon Winrow as its new dealer commercial manager (DCM) for the north of England and Scotland.

Winrow joins the brand from a position as Hyundai UK’s sales development manager for the north having started in retail motoring in 1987.

A statement issued by SsangYong stated that Winrow brings with him experience of both small, independent dealers and large PLCs, including holding the position of dealer principal for a multi-franchised dealer group.

Winrow said: “I’m delighted to join during the next chapter of SsangYong’s growth. So far, I have been very impressed with the dealers in my area and their ambition to grow with us.

“I’m looking forward to being able to utilise my own retail and manufacturer experiences to help develop SsangYong dealerships in my area.”

Kevin Griffin, sales director at SsangYong Motors UK, said: “We are delighted to see Jon join the team at what is an exciting time for SsangYong.

“We have taken on a number of new dealers in the past year with more to come, so having Jon on board will help us work with our expanding dealership network.”
