Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) has promoted former head of marketing Dan James to the role of marketing director.
James (pictured) joined VWFS in 2006 working within the marketing department and has since held a variety of roles within the wider commercial team, including marketing manager, product development and brand manager and most recently head of marketing.
VWFS’s chief commercial officer, Simon Tattersfield, said: “The new team has the right capacity and capability to deliver against our busy and demanding customer agenda and we have everything from consumer insight through to channel development under one roof.
“Dan, with his new team, has a clear mandate to deliver. It’s always a pleasure to see a colleague do well, and it’s a great testament not only to Dan, but also to a company that is prepared to invest in its people.”
The new appointment comes at an exciting time for VWFS. The automotive industry continues to be a changing environment, with a shift in consumer behaviour and advances in technology.
With over ten years’ experience within the industry, James will oversee the team that is responsible for marketing and customer engagement as well as product and digital channel development for VWFS.
