APD Global Research has named Paul Turner as its new Australian managing director as he expands his current role as executive chairman in the UK.

Turner will be responsible for widening the automotive customer experience and market intelligence business’s product portfolio for the Asia Pacific region and strengthening the links between the two management teams.

His first job will be to open new offices in Melbourne and appoint a new account manager to support the activities of the business.

APD Australia was formed in 2006 and is a Tier 1 supplier of customer experience feedback platforms to major automotive and commercial vehicle brands in the Asia Pacific region.

Principal customers include Mercedes-Benz Asia Pacific, Daimler Trucks, Fuso, Freightliner and IVECO.

APD Australia’s current MD Paul Steed has resigned to pursue other interests.
