Hendy Honda Portsmouth has appointed Chris Bacon as its new general sales manager.

He will be joining the team of five sales staff and one ‘product genius’ in Portsmouth.

Bacon (pictured) has more than 20 years’ experience in the motor trade and has also worked for car manufacturers, including Ford.

Before joining the Honda team, he spent seven years in a similar role at Jaguar Land Rover.

He will be responsible for overseeing all sales processes, engaging with customers and ensuring targets are met.

Ian Bennett, Hendy Group Honda franchise manager, said: “Chris’ appointment will allow us to continue to enhance the services we offer to our customers and will enable us to more easily fulfil the growing demand drivers in Portsmouth have for Hondas.

"His ability to draw on his years of experience at JLR and Ford made him the ideal person for the role and we’re really looking forward to working together.”
