Sarah Cox has been appointed head of marketing for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
She will replace Kirsten Stagg who leaves the brand later this month to take up a new role in Škoda UK.
Cox (pictured) has worked for Volkswagen Group UK for 12 years, and during that time has been academy manager, area sales manager and retail and customer relationship manager.
In her most recent role as national communications manager for Audi UK, which she has held since January 2015, she was responsible for all national advertising campaigns for the brand, including the award-winning RS3 ‘Birth’ film and the R8 ‘Spin’ television commercial.
In her new role, she will oversee the brand’s product marketing activities including planning and launching new models, communications, digital strategy and events.
She said: “Joining mid-way through the brand’s range renewal gives me a great opportunity to bring new products to market, and to develop a communications strategy which engages new and existing customers with our vans and services.’
Also new to the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand is Colin Gray, who succeeded Karen Hilton as national communications, retailer and digital marketing manager in September. He will report directly to Cox when she starts her new role in December.
