Mitsubishi Motors in the UK has promoted area manager Trevor Schindler to the role of dealer support manager as part of its focus on network development as it grows sales.

Schindler (pictured) has been with the company since 1998, in product manager and sales planning manager roles before spending the past seven years as an area manager.

He said: ‘I’m really excited about the new role. Network development andfFranchising are great teams, and while I’ve worked for Mitsubishi for 18 years, it’s an area of the company I haven’t worked in before.

“I’m looking forward to working with them, while still working closely with the dealers, which is what I enjoyed as an Area Manager.

“With the brand continuing to go from strength to strength building on the past three years, we need to make sure the dealers are prepared for the challenges that come with that. As a team, we need to ensure we support the dealers through our dealer development and training programmes.”

Schindler will work with Emma Soble, who was appointed to the new role of general manager of network development in November 2015.

In 2015 Mitsubishi recorded a 44% rise in new car registrations in the UK, against an overall market up by 6%.
