UHY Hacker Young has announced the addition of Richard Higham to its automotive sector team in Manchester as director of corporate finance.

The firm said Higham will add significant experience and expertise to the corporate finance offering, joining up with David Kendrick, Paul Daly, Lee Collins and Matthew Hodgson.

Higham is ACA qualified and has specialised in corporate finance for the last 5 years in both a London firm and a regional practice. He has had a keen interest in the automotive sector during this period and will bring a wealth of new contacts with him, the firm said.

Having successfully completed over a dozen transactions in 2015 already, most recently the sale of GK Group to Perrys and the sale of TH White Land Rover to Cambria, UHY said its team has a strong pipeline of good opportunities that Higham will work on alongside sector specialist David Kendrick.

Higham said: “I am delighted to have joined UHY Hacker Young and I’m excited about the prospect of working with this highly respected and experienced team in Manchester. I hope to bring some new ideas and contacts with me and am looking forward to the new challenge.”

David Kendrick, corporate finance partner at UHY Hacker Young said: “We have seen a significant number of transactions taking place in the sector this year so far and based on our strong current pipeline of new opportunities, Richard will add additional expertise and resource to ensure that the best client service is delivered every time.”
