Opteven launches new Flex used car warranty

Insurance and warranty firm Opteven is introducing its Flex used car warranty to the UK.

Opteven said Safe & Sound Flex takes into account a vehicle’s specific age, mileage, brake horsepower and the level of coverage required to create a “tailored warranty based on the vehicle’s actual level of risk”.

It said this approach can create a flexible pricing structure for the warranty product that focuses on the individual needs of the customer and the specifics of their vehicle.

Three levels of comprehensive coverage are available – Safe, Secure and Supreme – all with consequential damage cover included for the first time in Opteven’s product range.

Secure and Supreme provide enhanced cover, with fuel injectors covered by Safe & Sound Flex Secure and the failure of a catalytic converter and DPF (diesel particulate filter) included with Safe & Sound Flex Supreme.

“With its flexible pricing structure, we can now provide richer cover for a wider range of used vehicles. Plus, with FLEX it is easier to quote and upsell a vehicle warranty and include a warranty as standard.”

Flex is available to both future and existing Opteven customers.
