Mitsubishi’s revised ASX has arrived in UK showrooms with a new design and trim grades which bring the mid-sized SUV in-line with the brand's Outlander models.
A sleek new look courtesy of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s (MMC) new “Dynamic Shield” visual identity, a shark-fin antenna, revised seat cushions and new seat upholstery are among the changes to the revised model, which is available from £15,999.
Mitsubishi has also taken the opportunity to simplify its trim grade naming, with ASX 2, ASX 3, ASX 4 and ASX 5 now making up the available options.
The engine line-up remains unchanged, however, with a 117PS, 154Nm 1.6-litre MIVEC petrol engine, a 114PS, 270Nm 1.6-litre DI-D turbo diesel engine with a six-speed manual gearbox (available with the option of four-wheel-drive) and a 150PS, 260Nm 2.2-litre DI-D turbo diesel all available.
The 1.6 turbodiesel claims CO2 emissions of 119g/km and 61.4mpg fuel economy.
Among the standard equipment on all ASX models are front fog lamps; air conditioning; Bluetooth phone connectivity; a USB port with iPhone compatibility; and electric windows front and rear.
Mitsubishi’s standard safety kit includes Active Stability and Traction Control, Hill Start Assist and seven airbags.
The Mitsubishi ASX range comes with a five-year, 62,500 mile warranty and three-year pan-European roadside, home and accident assistance as standard.
