The top 10 AM100 dealer group has taken back the territory exactly 10 years since it sold Nissan Cambridge to Glyn Hopkin as the then Marshall boss Daksh Gupta rebalanced Marshall's portfolio of mainstream and premium brands.

Then in 2015 Glyn Hopkin opened a new brand centre on Cambridge's Newmarket Road to house the Nissan dealership and new Jeep and Fiat franchises.

The new Marshall Nissan Cambridge dealership will open in late summer at Marshall's large dealership complex opposite Cambridge Airport and the dealer group said it will create 20 jobs.

The dealership will comprise a six car showroom, an exterior display area for 40 used vehicles, and 8 bay workshop, a hub of electric charging points, a customer lounge, and a coffee bar.

Jon Roberts, Marshall Nissan franchise director, said: “We are delighted to represent Nissan in a territory that we know very well and will be key for the brand. This investment is another step in our growth strategy with our valued brand partner who are in a strong position, backed by their extensive focus on hybrid, e-POWER and all electric technology."

Since Constellation Automotive acquired Marshall the dealer group has been steadily expanding its relationship with Nissan - in 2023 it took over Doncaster Nissan from Pendragon.

The addition of Cambridge takes its number of Nissan dealerships to 11, spanning from Kent and Oxfordshire to Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire.

Roberts added: "We are confident and pleased to be investing further with Nissan and growing our partnership in this way, expanding our sales volumes, whilst providing our customers with the very best in new facilities for them to visit and enjoy.”
