Dacia has revealed the all-new electric Dacia Spring priced at just £14,995, undercutting competitors by thousands of pounds.
Pre-orders for the All-New Dacia Spring are now open, with customers able to secure their spot by placing a £99 deposit via Dacia's official website.
Available in two trim levels, Expression and Extreme, the five-door supermini has a range of up to 137 miles (WLTP mixed cycle) or 186 miles (WLTP urban cycle) with a choice of a 45hp or a more powerful 65hp/48 kW motor
Customers who pre-order the vehicle will also receive a complimentary £250 towards accessories, public charging, or a contribution for a home charger through Mobilize Power Solutions.
Charging the 26.8 kWh battery takes less than 11 hours on a suitable domestic outlet or just four hours on a 7kW wall box.
Standard features on the Expression trim include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Media Control system with USB port, speed limiter, cruise control, rear parking sensors, and more, offering convenience and comfort for drivers.
The Extreme trim, exclusive to the Electric 65hp powertrain, features copper finishes, Media Nav Live multimedia system with a 10-inch centre screen, and wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Luke Broad, Dacia brand director for the UK, expressed confidence in the All-New Spring's potential to drive EV adoption in the UK, citing its affordability without compromising on quality or performance.
“Spring has played a key part in widespread adoption of EVs across Europe and, with a price that is even lower than speculated, we’re confident it will continue the success story in the UK. We have listened to the concerns of UK drivers regarding accessing EVs, ensuring it not only has an unprecedented price but affordability that doesn’t come at the expense of durability, equipment or usability. Quite simply, there’s no other new EV currently on sale that offers so much for so little.”
The All-New Dacia Spring is slated to hit UK roads in October, with pre-orders currently underway.
