Kia has revealed pricing and technical data for the third-generation Ceed following changes which make the all-new model larger, more refined and 'better to drive' than the previous version.
The Ford Fiesta rival is available with a range of petrol and diesel options, including an updated version of the 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine, producing 120PS, as well as an all-new 1.4-litre T-GDi unit with 140PS.
Kia’s all-new 1.6-litre diesel engine produces 115PS and is available with an ECO Pack on manual gearbox derivatives. CO2 emissions are as low as 99g/km.
Grade 2 is the current entry-point to the range. It comes fitted with cruise control, 16-inch alloy wheels and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a reversing camera
Safety has been given a high priority with Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Hill Start Assist Control and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist- City, all included as standard.
The Blue Edition grade only comes with the 1.4 T-GDi engine. It is finished in the premium launch colour, Blue Flame. It adds 17-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, electrically folding door mirrors, rear parking sensors and LED bi-function headlights and cornering lights.
An eight-inch touchscreen satellite navigation is standard on Blue Edition and above, along with Kia Connected Services.
Grade 3 includes 17-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass and rain sensing front wipers. Other equipment includes dual-zone climate control, electrically folding door mirrors, an auto-dimming rear view mirror and rear parking sensors.
Range-topping First Edition models have a Smart Park Assist System with front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, leather trim with heated and ventilated front seats, heated outer rear seats and a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat with memory.
A wide electric tilt and slide sunroof also comes fitted to First Edition grade, along with LED bi-function headlights, an electronic parking brake, heated steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, smart entry system with engine start/stop button and an eight-speaker JBL premium sound system.
