Peugeot has revealed the new look for its best-selling model; the 208, which is due to go on sale in June.
Available in 3- and 5-door hatchback body styles, range enhancements include new technology such as active city brake and a rear view camera.
The 208 is available with four new engines variants, featuring PureTech petrol and BlueHDi diesel Euro6-compliant technology, plus a new quick-changing EAT6 automatic gearbox.
The exterior design has become sleeker due to a larger grille design with new black, and chrome two-tone lights, with new LED light signature.
Inside is a new soft-touch dashboard material, white back-lighting for the instrument panel, and blue LED light guides for versions equipped with a panoramic roof.
The brand is also launching a unique ‘textured paint’ finish, which is backed by an international patent.
The textured paint is currently available in two colours, Ice Grey and Ice Silver, for £645. The manufacturer claims the texture is more hard-wearing and easier to care for than conventional matt paint, offering resistance to micro-scratching.
Two personalisation packs are also available, optional extras for both the exterior and interior of the car. They are factory-fitted options and available on Allure trim level and above. The Menthol White pack offers elegance, while the Lime Yellow pack is bright, modern and fun.
The UK is Peugeot’s third largest sales market with its Headquarters located in Coventry.
