Glass’s has revealed that the Audi TT is at the top of its ‘hot five’ list of fastest selling used cars in March.

Glass's Hot Five for March

1Audi TT Coupe
2Citroen DS3 Cabrio
3Nissan Pathfinder
4Hyundai Coupe
5Mercedes-Benz ML Class

Glass's head of valuations Rupert Pontin said: "The TT has long since become an iconic car for UK buyers and there is an ongoing love affair with the model that cuts across ages and gender. While it is yet to be seen in the used sector, the arrival of the third generation model is sparking interest in older examples, too.

"If you had to name just one car that inspires younger buyers, then the DS3 Cabrio might be it. It is a genuinely desirable small cabriolet seen to be sporty with lots of flair.

"There are two entrants from the large 4x4 sector in the shape of the rarely seen Nissan Pathfinder, and the highly respected Mercedes ML class. Their presence should come as no surprise bearing in mind the time of year, although the lack of a Land Rover product inside the top 30 fastest selling cars, let alone the top five, really is a surprise.

"In some respects, we are surprised to see the Hyundai Coupe in the Hot Five but there is no denying the value for money that it represents for someone in the market for a nominally sporty car."

The Slowest Sellers

1Vauxhall Cascada
2Renault Scenic
3Mitsubishi Mirage
4Suzuki S Cross
5Nissan Leaf

"Once again, we see a couple of cars in the slowest sellers that probably don't deserve to be there based on their own merits. Vauxhall's Cascada is not a bad machine, but suffers from an almost non-existent image, while the Nissan Leaf is excellent but simply currently in oversupply,” Pontin said.
