The Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA) will look to address concerns surrounding COVID-19 and the impact of Brexit in its upcoming Vehicle Retailing in 2021 webinar.
The VRA’s third 2021 Outlook Seminar will take place at 10am on November 19 and is set to feature a main presentation from ASE Global chairman, Mike Jones, while Cox Automotive’s Philip Nothard will reveal data from his latest used car sector Insight Report.
The webinar is the latest in a series of five, 30-minute briefing events that the VRA is holding during November and December.
VRA chair, Sam Watkins, said: “The health of vehicle retail will be a crucial factor in the remarketing and used car and van sectors over the next 12 months but it remains difficult to predict the trends that will develop with any degree of certainty.
“We’re looking forward to exploring this area with Mike and Philip, providing a degree of insight that should prove extremely useful to those attending the webinar.”
The VRA’s first two 2021 Outlook Seminar events featured Steve Freeman, head of automotive at MHA Consulting looking at Possible Coronavirus Scenarios in 2021, while a panel discussion on The Used Car Market in 2021 included Derren Martin, head of UK valuations at Cap HPI, Rupert Pontin, director of insight at Cazana and Jayson Whittington, chief car editor at Glass’s.
The VRA Outlook Series has taken the place of the VRA Seminar, which is normally held every November but had proven impossible to organise in the current environment.
Watkins said: “Despite the pandemic, we wanted to try and deliver something that fulfilled a similar role to the VRA Seminar but were also mindful of the degree of webinar fatigue around.
“One of the good things about our normal seminar is that it is open to anyone who works in the motor industry and we have decided to continue this offer into the 2021 Outlook Seminars. It is not just for VRA members.”
