Australia-based parts solutions firm Infomedia is to acquire 50% of European AI startup Intellegam for £503,630 in a bid to enhance product-led growth across its data ecosystem.

The agreement, structured with a mix of cash and Infomedia shares, will be paid over two years, with 20% allocated directly to Intellegam for working capital. Infomedia retains the option to acquire the remaining 50% of Intellegam over five years.

Intellegam, an early-stage European AI startup, specialises in generative AI solutions for the retail automotive sector. Its proprietary B2B AI technology is already in use by two Chinese OEM brands in Europe, improving repair data interpretation and customer experience.

The company’s innovations include automated data ingestion, intuitive company information interactions, secure cloud architecture, and curated data accuracy to minimise errors.

Infomedia CEO Jens Monsees, noting the strategic importance of the partnership, said: “The acquisition of Intellegam marks an exciting milestone. By integrating Intellegam’s cutting-edge AI with our industry-leading automotive software and data solutions, we will enhance our existing portfolio and bring new, intelligent solutions to our customers.”

Intellegam CEO Tobias Hetfleisch highlighted the impact of AI on the automotive industry, noting that connected cars, shifting customer expectations, and workforce shortages are driving demand for smarter solutions. “By collaborating with Infomedia, we are equipping automotive businesses with AI solutions that streamline operations and improve decision-making in a highly competitive market,” he said.
