Holden Group has opened its new Kia Norwich showroom after updating the location to the brand’s latest corporate identity standards.

The group started work on the showroom rebrand in mid-November last year and the showroom's team worked out of temporary facilities before moving back in early February.

Kia Norwich will be holding a Grand Opening Upgrade Event from February 13 to February 17 to mark the opening with exclusive benefits and deals for customers looking to upgrade to a brand new 25 plate Kia or a quality used car.

Kia’s new brand identity was introduced at the start of 2021, featuring a new logo that was introduced to reflect its position as a leader with electric vehicles.

Now, as part of its rebranding, Kia has designed the ‘Kia Store’ to revolutionise the look and feel of dealerships including Holden Kia Norwich to embrace a "bold, warm and natural customer experience".

Two distinct zones separate the new showroom, comprising a ‘customer zone’ featuring plenty of warm wood accents and comfy seating areas and a ‘display zone’, showcasing the latest Kia models.

These two main areas are divided by a distinctive red thin lighting feature to visually separate the zones.

In addition to the new-look showroom, the Kia ‘Showcase’ interactive system offers customers an opportunity to take an in-depth virtual tour of any Kia model.

‘Showcase’ allows customers to experience a car’s different grades and colours via a 360-degree configurator.

Customers can view a car from every angle, open the doors to explore the interior and add key accessories.

In addition, ‘Showcase’ includes a useful video library introducing and explaining some of the more detailed in-vehicle technologies, including Kia’s electrified powertrains.

Holden is going through a period of transformation guided by managing director Martyn Webb, who AM interviewed as part of it's AM100 special digital issue last year.

A busy 2024 was rounded off by the relocation of Holden's Hylton Gott Volvo business from Downham Market to an EV-focused facility in King's Lynn.

In addition to the Kia Store update, Holden is also investing in its MG and Dacia showrooms and has also taken on the Mitsubishi repair franchise for Norwich.

The group also opened its Customer Care Hub last year as part of a further revamp designed as a dedicated support system to streamline customer service across all Holden Group dealerships.

Webb is planning to grow further with long term brand partners, but is open minded about partnering with new brands across East Anglia.

He told AM last year: "We haven't comitted to a specific number of locations across the region, but we remain open to any opportunity that may come along."
