Hendy Group adds BYD to new Kent site

Hendy Group has added the UK’s fastest-growing vehicle brand, BYD, to its portfolio, expanding its reach across the South Coast to 23 different marques.

A vacant vehicle showroom in Tonbridge, Kent is being redeveloped to accommodate the Chinese carmaker’s full electric and hybrid model range.

Renovations of the 3,200 square foot showroom are due to be completed ahead of the first customers being welcomed in early June.

Alongside indoor and outdoor display areas for new and used BYD models the Tonbridge dealership will provide a service and MOT facility for vehicles from any brand, making use of a new, nine-bay workshop.

The opening has prompted the creation of 12 new jobs.

Hendy is currently seeking new colleagues to fill roles in sales and aftersales at the site and is accepting applications via their website.
