Car retail brothers Harry and Neal Grainger have opened BYD Mantles in Royston on the site previously occupied by Mantles Kia – with a second BYD franchise point in King's Lynn due to open on December 1.
‘This week Mantles celebrated the grand opening of its new BYD dealership in Royston,” Harry Grainger told AM.
“BYD representatives attended the launch to unveil the four-model lineup, including a special appearance from the tank-turning Yangwang U8. Our customers were impressed by the BYD products and placed seven new car orders on the night.’
Mantles Kia has moved into a newly refurbished showroom on an adjacent 1.6-acre site.
The sons of Norton Way Group founder David Grainger, Harry and Neal Grainger formed the Hertfordshire-based Grainger Motor Group five months after leaving their positions as operations director and finance director at Norton which was acquired by Marubeni Auto Investment in 2008.
The business acquired EMG in January and now operates 14 EMG and Mantles sites across Hertfordshire and East Anglia.
