Fix Auto UK is strengthening its presence in Scotland with the acquisition of the long-established Fix Auto Edinburgh West repair centre from owners Stewart and Carol Roden.

This marks Fix Auto UK’s first acquisition in Scotland and brings the total number of repair centres owned outright by the network to 11. The company also holds majority stakes in Fix Auto Goole and Fix Auto Cheltenham.

"It’s time for Carol and myself to step back and take things a little easier," said Stewart Roden. "We are delighted to say the business we’ve spent our lives building will be in the safest of hands. Safeguarding our team has been paramount, and we are excited for the next chapter of the repair centre."

As part of the transition, Fix Auto UK plans a significant investment in the Edinburgh West site, which includes remodelling the facility.

The repair centre will feature two workshops, two spray booths, and 10,500 sq ft of space. The team, led by current manager Michael Kinnell, will continue to serve customers, with Michael Roden, Stewart and Carol’s son, remaining as assistant manager. The 14-strong team has the capacity to repair up to 120 vehicles per month.

Ian Pugh, managing director of Fix Auto UK, said: "Stewart and Carol have built an incredibly respected business, and it is a privilege to not only take it over but continue their legacy as one of Scotland’s finest repairers."

"Acquiring a repair centre in Scotland marks another exciting chapter for us as we continue expanding our wholly and part-owned sites. This is pivotal as we strive to maintain and build upon the network’s presence in key strategic locations."

Fix Auto UK’s portfolio of wholly owned sites now includes locations such as Fix Auto Daventry, Fix Auto Blackpool, and Fix Auto Liverpool South, further cementing the network’s presence across the UK.
