Ford dealer Chipping Sodbury Motor Company has doubled its franchise car retail brands with the addition of Ssangyong Motor UK.
The former Vauxhall retailer has added the Korean SUV and pick-up specialist to its dealership site on High Street, Chipping Sodbury, which is located 10 minutes from Junction 18 of the M4 and 40 minutes from Bristol.
Dealer principal and business owner, David Powell, whose grandparents started the family-run business in 1967, said: “Being based in the rural county of South Gloucestershire, the team at Chipping Sodbury Motor Company were keen to work with a forward-thinking manufacturer that offers a range of models to meet the needs of local customers.
“SsangYong’s multiple award-winning range of SUVs and pick-ups, together with their seven-year warranty, and its reputation as manufacturer that focusses on dealer relations have been key factors in choosing to take on the SsangYong franchise. We look forward to a long and healthy relationship.”
Last month AM reported that Humphries & Parks had become the latest addition to the Ssangyong franchised car retail network.
It is the latest in a number of former Mitsubishi Motors in the UK car retailers to join the network after 20 former partners of the discontinued franchise were added in 2021.
To celebrate its integration into the SsangYong family, Chipping Sodbury Motor Group is planning to host a customer opening event on October 6.
Kevin Griffin, managing director at SsangYong Motor UK, said: “Chipping Sodbury Motor Company is yet another fantastic addition to our SsangYong family.
“The team there prides itself on delivering consistently high levels of customer service. We look forward to working with the team and wish them every success.”
