Humphries & Parks has become the latest former Mitsubishi Motors in the UK car retailer to join the Ssangyong Motor UK franchised car retail network.
The Kent-based former Daihatsu, Seat and Kia franchisee now represents the SsangYong brand at its site on London Road, West Malling, alongside a franchise with the innovative zero-emissions commercial vehicle brand XBUS.
Operated by managing director Marcus Joy, the AM Awards 2015's Most Improved Company of the Year is one of just 99 across the UK to be awarded Electric Vehicle Accreditation by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV).
On taking on the Ssangyong franchise, Joy said: “At Humphries & Parks exceptional customer service and experience is a priority, ensuring that we develop strong relationships with our customers.
“We are delighted to partner with the SsangYong brand with its range of award-winning value-for-money vehicles.
“As Humphries & Parks celebrates 75-years in business, we are constantly investing in and improving the way we do things and look forward to serving the Kent community for the next 75 years and more.”
Originally founded in 1947 and acquired by Joy in 2012, Humphries & Parks is now run by Joy, alongside his sons Sam, Bruno and Soren.
SsangYong Motor UK recently added Blackshaws Alnwick and August Motors Salisbury to its franchised car retail network.
During 2021 the brand attracted 20 new car dealers from the discontinued Mitsubishi Motors in the UK new car retail franchise.
Humphries & Parks employs a 30-strong team of specialist staff lead by general manager, Owen McGahan.
Alongside its retail franchises the business also operates an 80-car used car forecourt and full aftersales centre, offering a servicing, MOT and repairs.
Kevin Griffin, managing director at SsangYong Motor UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Humphries & Parks to the SsangYong franchise and to extend our representation in Kent.
“The team has a wealth of experience and an outstanding reputation which will ensure an excellent customer journey.”
