Brayleys Cars’ Oxford Kia dealership has become the latest franchised retailer to launch a new car rental facility as part of the Korean brand’s ‘Try Before You Buy’ initiative.
The dealership in Rose Hill, on Iffley Road, will offer rentals for a day, a weekend, a month or even longer as part of the new initiative.
It comes after Kia launched its ‘Try before you Buy’ initiative, which allows potential customers to rent a vehicle of their choice for one to five days and have their money refunded if they choose to buy a car at the end of the term.
Prices start from £15.70 a day.
Commenting on the launch of Brayleys’ new rental operation, Michelle Prentice, dealer rental programme manager at Kia Motors UK, said: “We are proud to announce the launch our new car rental location, which I’m confident will be a great addition, not only to Brayleys (Oxford), but to our Kia Rental Network.
“With demand for rental cars in this city being constant and high, we’re confident that our rental operation will be a great success.”
Pawel Kisiel, rental manager at Brayleys Oxford Kia, said: “The new Kia rental process here in Oxford couldn’t be simpler for our customers, as we have made sure our pricing is clear and we have great selection of brand-new Kia cars already in place.
“We’re excited to be rolling out these new offerings which will allow us to continue to provide the best quality, service and experience to our customers.”
Earlier this month Brayleys Cars more than doubled its representation of Honda with the acquisition of Thames Honda for an undisclosed sum.
The Hertfordshire-based AM100 retail group, which welcomed Dubai’s AW Rostamani Group as a majority shareholder at the end of 2018, has added four more sites with the Japanese car brand with completion of the deal this week.
The purchase of the new locations – a recently updated Ruislip facility, Ewell, Leatherhead and Thames Ditton – marks the first organic growth for Brayleys since AW Rostamani Group’s entry the UK automotive sector.
Brayleys new Honda franchises join the group’s existing locations with the brand in Enfield, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead and it is anticipated that the trading names will change to Brayley Honda.
