Inchcape will open a new Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Southampton on November 26, in line with JLR’s dual-brand strategy.

The new Wide Lane site replaces Inchcape’s previously separate showrooms in Southampton, trading as Hunters Land Rover and formerly HA Fox Jaguar on The Avenue.

It features an advanced drive-through service bay as part of the brands global Arch concept.

Last year, the AM100 group began work to open seven new Jaguar Land Rover dealerships by 2020.

Jaguar Land Rover Preston was completed earlier this year. Since then, work has begun in Guildford, Chester, and York. Other sites will begin their transformation in 2019.

“It’s been an exciting journey to create this new showroom in the city and we are looking forward to welcoming customers, both old and new, to the centre. This significant investment will ensure our customers can experience these prestigious cars in sophisticated surroundings,” said Alex Merricks, franchise director for Inchcape Jaguar Land Rover.

Inchcape UK has more than 100 centres around the country, working in partnership with brands including Audi, BMW, Porsche and Mercedes Benz, as well as Jaguar Land Rover.
