Fordthorne has received Ford’s prestigious Chairman’s Award for an eighth year running in recognition of the quality and consistency of its customer experience.

The Cardiff-based retail group’s recent success brings its total number of awards since the launch of the manufacturer’s recognition scheme, 30 years ago, to 13.

A spokesman for Fordthorne told AM: “Over the past ten years, five dealerships in particular have maintained a consistently outstanding level of customer service, winning the Chairman’s Award every year throughout this period. Excitingly, Fordthorne Cardiff are one of these five dealerships.

“The Chairman’s Award represents an independent measure of the absolute commitment we at Fordthorne have to delivering exceptional customer experience and satisfaction.

“It is also a fitting testament to the unwavering dedication of our exceptional team.”

The Chairman’s Award is the most prestigious accolade a dealership can be awarded by Ford for customer experience and is presented to dealers who deliver consistently outstanding customer service over one whole year.

This year’s Chairman’s Awards event took place in Athens, hosted by Steven Armstrong - Group Vice President and President of Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The event rewarded more than 180 dealers from 27 countries for their outstanding achievements in 2016.
