Mazda and Mitsubishi retailer Mack Motor Group has ceased trading at its two sites, due to “financial complications”, a statement issued by one of the manufacturers has stated.

A statement issued by Mazda’s press office said that it would endeavour to continue to deliver a services to customers of Mack’s two sites, a Mitsubishi and Mazda site in Gloucester Avenue, Chelmsford, and a Mazda-only showroom in Rayne Road, Braintree.

Mazda said: “Due to financial complications of the Kelhalk t/a Mack Mazda business, it has been necessary for them to cease trading with immediate effect.

“Mazda is keen to continue to provide products and services to existing and potential customers in the Chelmsford and Braintree areas and are working on solutions to do just that.

“In the meantime, if any customers have questions or concerns, they should contact the Mazda customer relations team on 03457 484848.”

At the run of the year Mack Motor Group had completed a refurbishment of its Chelmsford operation and was advertising for new sales staff only last month.
