WR Davies Motor Group, with dealerships in North Wales and Staffordshire has expanded its representation into Shropshire.

It has bought the Toyota dealerships in Shrewsbury and Telford and the Nissan dealership in Telford from Greenhous Group.

Jonathan Davies, WR Davies managing director, said: “Having worked together with the sale of our mid-Wales dealerships both companies have a very good understanding of each other and I would like to thank Derek Passant (joint chief executive) and the directors of Greenhous Group for the smooth and professional manner the deal was transacted.”

The acquired dealerships employ about 50 staff, all of which have transferred to the new owners.

WR Davies Motor Group – which was founded in 1924 - also operates three Ford dealerships and a Renault/Dacia dealership in North Wales as well as Toyota, Nissan and Citroen dealerships in Stafford.

The deal comes a year on from the sale to Greenhous of the WR Davies Ford dealerships in mid-Wales.
