Bowker BMW and MINI in Blackburn has appointed a new general sales manager as the group extends its opening hours.

Peter Portlock has joined the group from Lakeland Land Rover.

He has more than 20 years car retail experience including 11 years as operations director at Chorley Group Nissan, Hyundai, Fiat and Kia.

Portlock (pictured) said: “I’ve lived in the area for over 26 years now so I know all about the Bowker Motor Group. I know it’s a very well respected Lancashire family business that is renowned for quality and service. That’s why I’m excited to be a part of the future and can’t wait to use my experience to contribute toward the growth of the business.”

Bowker is extending its opening hours.

The new opening hours will be 7.30 am to 7pm for service and aftersales customers. Sales will be open from 8am to 7pm. This is all supplemented by a 24-hour online customer service chat facility.
