Aston Martin is set to expand its presence into the North East with the opening of a purpose-built Newcastle showroom.

Located on the Silverlink, which is accessible from the A19 and A1, the new facility will open on March 24 and is the first Aston Martin dealership for Stoneacre, which has 35 dealerships across the UK.

Until now, Stoneacre's franchised dealerships have focused on mainstream and volume brands with its only premium operations being Lotus, in Durham, and Volvo, in Lincoln and Grimsby.

Aston Martin Newcastle will operate from a 1,950 square metre facility which includes a 14-car showroom offering the full range of Aston Martin sports cars and a separate “Q” lounge where discerning customers can tailor their new car to the exact specification of their choosing.

The Newcastle dealership is the latest expansion of the Aston Martin network to see the brand adopt a new partner.

Earlier this month Dick Lovett announced that it was developing a state-of-the-art Aston Martin showroom at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol.

That 27,000 sq ft facility is set to open this summer, creating around 20 new jobs.
