Used car supermarket Fords of Winsford has acquired an additional retail site on Barton Dock Road, Manchester, opposite the Trafford Centre.
It will open on August 1, following redevelopment of the 360-vehicle site.
The new acquisition will complement Fords of Winsford’s existing 13acre mega-site in Cheshire, which has a current stock holding of around 1,800 vehicles.
General manager Paul Campion said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the Fords of Winsford brand, enabling us to strengthen our presence in the Manchester area while bringing our unique non-pressured sales environment to a wider audience. The customer’s experience is - and always has been - at the heart of our business and this will provide the guiding ethos for our new Manchester site.”
The business was started in 1959 by Vernon Ford and is now run by his son Paul Ford and son-in-law Graham Bell.
