China's BYD has confirmed that it has appointed Maria Grazia Davino as its new regional managing director for Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, and the Czech Republic, effective December 1.
This leadership transition comes amid a period of significant restructuring at Stellantis, including the recent announcement that CEO Carlos Tavares’ contract would not be renewed, alongside changes in other senior positions.

BYD also points to her degrees in philosophy and economics, reflecting her analytical approach to the complex dynamics of the automotive industry.
Her career began at Lamborghini, followed by significant roles at Fiat and Fiat Chrysler, where she was responsible for Switzerland, Austria, and Germany from 2018 to 2021. After the merger forming Stellantis, she managed marketing and sales for an enlarged Europe region before overseeing UK operations.
