Arnold Clark has been confirmed as the headline sponsor for the 2024 Scottish Car of the Year (SCOTY) Awards.

The Scottish Car of the Year Awards, organized by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW), recognises the best vehicles launched in the UK over the past year.

This year's event will take place in Edinburgh on 28 November, with Arnold Clark as the official partner.

ASMW president Alisdair Suttie said: "As Scotland's premier motoring awards, it's fitting to partner with one of the most prominent names in Scottish motoring. With a diverse array of vehicles and innovative powertrains, 2024 promises to be an outstanding year for SCOTY."

Arnold Clark chief executive and group managing director Eddie Hawthorne, added: "The Scottish Car of the Year Awards is a highlight in the automotive industry calendar, and we’re delighted to be the official partner this year.

“These awards not only celebrate industry achievements but also provide invaluable insights for our customers, helping them make informed decisions when choosing their next car. We're eager to see which vehicles will stand out and impress the judges in 2024."

Founded in 1998, the Scottish Car of the Year Awards has become a cornerstone event for motoring journalists in Scotland, who regularly test and review new cars for various publications. Last year, the Hyundai IONIQ 6 took home the top prize.
