Last week people from across the motor retail industry gathered in London for the Ben Ball 2024 and raised an amazing £107,000 on the night for the automotive charity.
This year's ball had a 1920s theme and attracted hundreds of people in glamourous evening dress to support the charity, which is focused on supporting current and former industry workers and their families when they are struggling or in crisis.
The event's highlights included a musical performance from Electro Swing Project and a live auction hosted by celebrity auctioneer Charlie Ross of Antiques Road Trip and Bargain Hunt fame, with prizes including a VIP experience at the Masters golf tournament.
Ben's new chief executive Rachel Clift and chairman Steve Nash hinted at some exciting new developments to come in 2025, when Ben will celebrate its 120th birthday. The charity has asked industry people to complete a survey to help it determine its focus areas for the years ahead.
Ben sends its thanks to Auto Trader for its support as headline sponsor, to Euro Car Parts for sponsoring the spectacular entertainment, to The Fleet Auction Group for supporting its programme and auctions and Alliance Automotive Group for sponsorship of the drinks reception.
Guests were shown emotional videos featuring some of the people of this industry that Ben helps, including a film of Ben's guests at a special event organised by Ferrari.
