Hendy Group has further added to its franchise portfolio with the opening of its first MG car dealership, in Exeter.

The showroom in Marsh Barton opens as the manufacturer gets ready to meet increasing demand in the south-west.

MG, which is owned by SAIC Motor Corporation, was the fastest growing brand in Britain last year, with sales growing by 361%, and Hendy MG is determined to build on that success.

Hendy Group’s managing director Paul Hendy (pictured right) said: “We’ve already seen great demand for the cars and next month’s launch of the MG6 will see another milestone in the return of MG as a major car company in the UK.

“We have a great new showroom to display the new range together with dedicated workshop facilities in Exeter and we have every confidence in the brand for the future.’’

The current MG range is designed, engineered and is assembled in Longbridge, Birmingham.

Hendy Group has more than 20 outlets and employs more than 550 staff.
