Suzuki has revealed that its recent product recall of the Celerio model relates to a possible fault in the brake pedal release mechanism.
A rectification by Suzuki Motor Corporation is currently being implemented and delivery of modified brake components is expected in the coming weeks.
The model went on sale on February 1 and the recall was issued the next morning following emergency braking tests carried out by Autocar magazine on January 30. All dealers were immediately notified to directly contact customers who had recently taken delivery of their new vehicle.
Suzuki expects to return vehicles to customers as soon as possible and would like to apologise to its customers and also thank them for their understanding and patience regarding this issue.
Customers with any further questions regarding their Celerio model should contact Suzuki customer services on 0500 011959 or contact their supplying Suzuki dealer.
