Motor retail veteran Peter Jones has today joined the board of Vertu Motors.
Jones has been appointed the AM100 dealer group's non-executive chairman, following the retirement of Paul Williams.
Williams had served for seven years as Vertu's chairman, prior to which he headed Bristol Street Motors, which Vertu acquired.
Jones's appointment as non-executive chairman comes a year after he retired as chief executive of rival AM100 motor retailer Lookers.
Prior to that he ran Audi and Volkswagen retailer Bramall & Jones with business partner Tony Bramall, and had previously served as chief executive of CD Bramall and commercial director of Rover Cars UK & Ireland.
