Hexham car dealership Tyne Mills Motor Company has received letters of sympathy from customers after losing its Mazda franchise.
The business had represented Mazda in Northumberland since 1986.
Owner operator John Woods told the Hexham Courant newspaper the business has retained authorised Mazda repairer status, and continues to sell Isuzu vehicles and used cars..
“We have received a huge number of letters from customers sympathising with us, but we will carry on trading as normal," he said.
The nearest Mazda sales outlets to the town now are Hodgson Mazda at Gateshead or Hodgson Mazda at Newcastle.

Interesting, Mazda in Torquay (Central Garages Torbay) were given the same treatment a few weeks ago. I have had 2 new Mazdas from them and was disgusted to find out they had been dropped in favor of the faceless in unprofessional Vospers. Due to the fact I no longer want to deal with Vospers again I have switched to a different brand.
