Evans Halshaw has become the latest dealer group to support the tyre safety campaign group, TyreSafe.
As a new member, all of Evans Halshaw’s 120 sites in England, Scotland and Wales will have access to a range of tyre safety information and advice for use within its outlets, helping to keep its customers informed and safe on the road.
“A car dealership is an ideal environment to educate and remind drivers about the importance of correct tyre care and maintenance so it’s fantastic news to have such a large national group join us,” said Stuart Jackson, TyreSafe chairman.
“We’ve already seen from other members what a great difference dealers can make at a local level so we look forward to working closely with all of the new sites in helping to make our roads a safer place.”
Tyres form part of the service and MoT offering available at all Evans Halshaw sites. The company is part of Pendragon.
Customers receive complimentary vehicle health check reports with every visit to one of the company’s workshops which includes a comprehensive tyre condition report.
In addition to the use of TyreSafe’s campaign materials in-store, the company is also expected to bolster its online tyre safety advice and become heavily involved in campaigns such as October’s Tyre Safety Month.
“As one of the largest dealer groups in the UK, our business has been built on looking after our customers properly,” said Michael Hunt, Evans Halshaw aftersales director.
“Joining TyreSafe and helping educate drivers on the important issue of tyre safety is another important way in which we can continue this high level of care and service. We look forward to becoming fully involved with the group and its other members in delivering some exciting initiatives.”
Evans Halshaw represents 10 vehicle manufacturers.
As well as car dealerships, TyreSafe’s membership also includes tyre manufacturers and retailers, car manufacturers, insurers, local councils, road safety partnerships and many other relevant organisations.
