Vic Young Nissan has come to the end of a 20 year sales partnership with the Japanese brand.
Its Nissan sales franchise at South Shields in the North East of England is being terminated on May 5, which owner Vic Young believes is down to a change in strategy by Nissan GB.
“I believe Nissan GB’s decision has been driven by geographical considerations rather than performance-related factors, as we still hold the position as one of the most profitable independent Nissan dealers in the UK.
“Although we are disappointed by this decision, we look forward to continuing our long-standing association with Nissan, whom we have worked with since 1980 and helped to establish in the North East. We will remain a service dealer for Nissan," Young told the Shields Gazette newspaper.
