Volkswagen Group has announced it will build a new assembly plant in Poland for the next Crafter van.
From 2016, it is expected to roll out the newly designed vehicle at Wrzesnia, about 50km to the east of Poznan, where its existing commercial vehicle plant, which builds the Caddy, is located.
The current Crafter is built in Germany by Daimler, whose own version is the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
It also announced that Porsche will build its next Cayenne large SUV entirely in Slovakia at its Bratislava plant which currently builds the car bodies and interiors before shipping them to Leipzig.
It will enable Porsche to concentrate its production of Panamera at Leipzig, which also builds the Macan.
