AM100 dealer John Clark Motor Group has unveiled plans for a £9 million investment in a flagship, high-tech Audi dealership in Aberdeen. It will be the first of its kind in Scotland.

The 59,860sq ft site will be almost double the size of the current Aberdeen Audi centre, becoming the group’s largest standalone dealership.

Sitting alongside the group’s recently completed Nissan and Mini facilities at Balmoral Park on the city’s southern outskirts, the Audi Terminal showroom will accommodate up to 20 cars.

Visitors will be able to browse the full Audi range electronically and access every model and variant configuration.

The new premises will see an increased service capacity for up to 36 cars accessed by customers via a fully-enclosed drive-through service reception, another first for Scotland.

The four-acre site will also see display space doubled for used car sales and more customer parking.

A second used car showroom and sales area will also also be built with the same high-tech features.

The new development will mean the creation of up to 20 jobs to support the increased sales and service offering.

Completion of the new dealership is expected towards the end of next year (2015).

The announcement comes as the group also invest £700,000 into their Dundee Audi flagship, which will extend the showroom by 2,200sq ft and create more office space and customer accommodation.

Chris Clark, group business development director (pictured), said: “Our business has always been about providing the best customer experience and the new Aberdeen Audi dealership will house some of the latest retail technology to ensure that this continues to be the case as we continue to grow.

“This investment is a real recognition of our team’s hard work in recent times as well as our commitment to the Audi brand.”

The group has sites in Aberdeen, Cupar, Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Kirkcaldy and Perth, employing around 1,000 staff.
