Luscombe Mitsubishi has raised £800 in aid of Children in Need and the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
The dealership on Low Road, Hunslet, Leeds, is to give £400 each to the charities after general manager Robin Luscombe announced across social media that the dealership would donate £50 for every car sold from November 15-16.
Luscombe said: “I’m absolutely thrilled by how much has been raised – all thanks to our wonderful customers. These are two very important charities that do equally fantastic work and we are delighted to support them.
“I know the money will be spent well to help improve the lives of others less fortunate than ourselves. This year being the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War makes the Poppy Appeal especially poignant and significant, while it’s great that the Children in Need telethon earlier this month raised a record £32.6 million.”
