BMW and Mini Wood Group will be rebranded under the Ridgeway name following a ‘low key’ acquisition which was made in February 2012.

Ridgeway said the dealerships, located in Bournemouth, Hook and Salisbury, made huge changes over the last 16 months to improve the retail experience, with ‘significant increases’ in BMW and Mini market share in 2012 compared to 2011.

Each dealership added more parking spaces at each site and extended opening hours. The Hook business opened new premises, the Bouremouth site’s service reception was relocated and all sites appointed new staff to bolster sales and service teams.

David Weston, Ridgeway BMW and MINI brand director, said: “We now feel it is the perfect time to celebrate our achievements by re-naming and re-launching the Wood Group into the Ridgeway brand.

“From August 1 2013 – Wood BMW & MINI will become Ridgeway BMW & MINI – The new name for BMW and MINI in Bournemouth, Hook and Salisbury”.
