A Pendragon-owned car dealership has launched a drive to raise £30,000 towards funding treatment in the US for a girl battling a rare cancer.
Evans Halshaw Citroen, in Croft Road, Darlington, hopes to sell 6,000 raffle tickets for a Citroen C1 VT to boost a fundraising appeal for Fraja Simpson, of RAF Leeming, near Bedale.
Gavin Morgans, its dealer principal, said he hoped the city car would generate £30,000 towards a fund for treatment to decrease Fraja Simpson’s chances of suffering a relapse of neuroblastoma with MYCN amplification.
Morgans said he had been inspired by reading about the five-year-old’s determination on the Fraja Ellie Appeal Facebook page.
