Pentagon Group has completed its acquisition of Peugeot in Keighley, West Yorkshire from The Co-operative Motor Group for an undisclosed sum.

This is Pentagons third Peugeot site and its fourth dealership in Yorkshire.

Pentagon has retained all 26 staff at the Peugeot dealership (two have chosen to retire), taking the group’s total workforce to more than 870.

The dealership, on Worth Way in Keighley, has a 12 new car showroom, room for 75 used cars and 10 service bays.

Peter Tatlock, Pentagon managing director said: “The acquisition of Peugeot in Keighley underlines our commitment to build stronger relationships with more manufacturers.

“We are particularly pleased to be expanding with Peugeot as we have been working with them over many years to identify suitable businesses that would allow us to grow our portfolio.

He added: “The dealership in Keighley is full of potential and I am looking forward to working closely with everyone there”.

Pentagon’s turnover in 2012 was £384m and it expects this to grow to £407m this year on the back of new acquisitions and an improved performance across the group, particularly in fleet operations.

This latest growth, in addition to the new dealerships they opened last year takes their total number of franchise points to 23.
